First time brewed in 2006, Houblon Chouffe is an Indian Pale ale type of beer, with a harmonious balance between a marked bitterness (three types of hops are used to make it including Amarillo hops for dry-hopping) and a pleasant fruitiness. The Houblon Chouffe is unfiltered, and re-fermented in the bottle.

Tasting: Cloudy and big white head with a clean malty body. Estery fruitiness clearly shines through signaling the arrival of something unusual. Strong, complex hops flavor.. Long, lingering bitterness beautifully balanced with malt sweetness, and a fruity dry finish.
Food Pairings: ideal with spicy meals such as beef chili, dry rubbed pork ribs, and heavily spiced Thai dishes.

Serving temperature : 4 to 10°C in a trappist or Tulip beer glass

The beer is just excellent! Hazy, yellow-gold complex and spiced beer with coriander it’s immensely drinkable and full of character.
