This dog enjoys his days in the sun... Flying Dog Old Scratch Amber Lager is a malty, mellow beer that is fermented at medium temperatures to develop both ale and lager characteristics. It pours with a thick, creamy head. The malt sweetness is balanced with a citrus hop finish. 'Gold Scratch' raises the standard in the amber lager.

Dog schwarz Beer is a real treat not to be missed! The Flying Dog brewers have been let loose again and come up with the spectacular new Dog Schwarz.

Originally released in September 2008, Flying Dog Brewery got such good feedback from consumers that they're still making it in small batches today. Dog Schwarz Lager is smoky, but not too over-the-top - like all the Flying Dog beers, and well- balanced. Head Brewer Matt Brophy describes it as a truly unique blend of styles: an amped up German schwarzbier... producing a double lager with great depth and complexity.

Tasting: Dog Schwarz has aromas of subtle smoke and chocolate on the nose, followed by a rich blend of roast chocolate malt - flavours gently balanced by dry smoke and a crisp hop finish.

Food Pairings: pepper cheeses, smoked meats and barbecue.

The Flying Dog Dogtoberfest beer received the bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2005. It is brewed with 100% inported German ingredient for a true German flavour.
