Beer Style :Pilsner
Strength :4.9%
Colour :N/A

Vessel / Case :20x50cl

Jever beer is a world classic extra dry pilsener from the Freisland area of north Germany, only a small brewer, but producing a great beer not for the faint hearted! Very bitter hop flavour as indicated on the label – “herb”. One of the most hoppy, bitter beers in the world with 44 units of bitterness.

Tasting: The aroma is resiny hops and booming malt leading to a beer with a typical pure white head and just the right amount of carbonation. The taste is of grassy, resiny hops held up well by a very supportive malt base. Citrus zest and a note of sweetness are underlying. Jever is bouncingly fresh, but dry from the high hop rate though still with plenty of mouth feel. It continues through to a refreshing, dry hoppy finish.

Food Pairings: Japanese and German Cuisine, Peppery Cheese, Apéritif, Poultry, Fish.
Glassware: Flute, Pilsener glass (or Pokal)
