Dark is an export lager, garnet in colour with a clean roasted malt flavour giving a full round bodied flavour.

When the American brewer Busch toured Europe in the 19th Century he was so taken with the beers of Budweis he launched his beer in the USA named after them. Budvar, as it now known, is a clean tasting malty beer lagered for three months with no resemblance at all to the US brand.

In German “original pilsener”. A soft tasting but gently bitter beer brewed in an elaborate and old fashioned way. From the town of Pilsen and the first pale lager ever brewed.
