St Austell Admirals Ale is a premium bottle-conditioned ale that has been uniquely brewed using our own Cornish Gold malt. Locally grown barley is traditionally malted using a special kilning process which develops a deeper intensity of colour and flavour than ordinary barley malt. Blended with both Styrian Golding and Cascade hops, the result is a deep bronze ale with a delicious rich biscuit flavour and a wonderful spicy aroma.

Colour: deep gold
Tasting: nutty malt and tropical fruit on the nose and the palate. Pleasant barley flavours and hoppy crispness throughout. Nutty, malty, bitter and hoppy finish.

St Austell Admiral's Ale was voted "Supreme Champion" in the 2008 International Beer Challenge.

Pale yellow in colour and naturally bottle conditioned, Clouded Yellow beer may be poured cloudy by gently swirling the last few inches to rouse the natural yeast sediment. Serve cool in a long glass to experience the true citrus overtones which have been delicately flavoured with whole spices and vanilla. The combination of flavours is brought alive by gently sweetening with pure organic maple syrup.
Roger Protz, beer writer, described Clouded Yellow as: "Lovely...rich, spicy, slightly peppery and marmaladey on the nose."
Chef and beer with food writer Richard Fox said "The natural citrus element of the beer contrasts favourably with fish dishes."

St Austell Proper Job beer is an authentic Indian Pale Ale (IPA) brewed with Cornish spring water and malt made from a blend of malts including Cornish grown Maris Otter barley.

Colour: pale gold
Tasting : Fresh citrus fruits on the nose: orange peel, grapefruit and lime .
Deep citrus flavours on the palate, especially grapefruit, from the abundant hops, with just a little restraining malt. The excessive fruitiness of the hops seems to add a touch of sweetness. More sweet hop character finish. Long lasting and full of citrus.

Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. Throughout the siege the traditional "Sunset Ceremony" (beating the retreat and lowering the national flag) was ignored as an act of defiance to the mutineers. In recognition of a "Proper Job" Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour.

A Supreme Champion Ale of Cornwall as voted by CAMRA, and the South West's Favourite cask beer, Tribute Premium Cornish Ale is a popular favourite with locals and visitors to Cornwall, as well as being a much sought after guest ale throughout the rest of the UK. It is brewed using specially grown Cornish Gold Malt and is a perfect accompaniment to chicken, gammon or fish. The ideal alternative to a fine white wine.

Tasting: Elderflower, grapefruit and spicy hop nose with a nicely balanced and bittersweet palate. Grapefruit and lime notes from the Cascade hops liven up a smooth, lightly toffeeish malt base. Hoppy and drying finish, with an easy bitterness.

A very special bounty indeed, Smugglers is a unique blend of dark ale and oak-aged barley wine. Smugglers Vintage Ale is a strong beer brewed and racked into oak whisky casks. During its long slumber the beer undergoes an extraordinary transformation, emerging rich and complex with hints of whisky, creamy vanilla, toffee and spice.

A blend of oak aged barley wine and dark ale brewed from natural Cornish spring water, Maris Otter pale ale malt, Crystal and Roasted malts, dark brewing sugar, First Gold, Fuggle, and Styrian Golding hops, coriander and our own Brewer's yeast.
