Brewed by Lefebvre, Blanche de Bruxelles named after the city is a light, fruity wit bier with typical cloudiness because the yeast remains in suspension.

The Brasserie de Cazeau has been a traditional farm brewery since 1753. Saison Cazeau production is very time-limited as it is laced with elderflowers which only blooms for three weeks between mid-May and mid-June.

Pierre Celis was responsible for recreating the Belgian wit bier, which was in danger of extinction. Hoegaarden was where he brewed the first batch of his beer in 1965. In 1992 after selling the tremendously successful Hoegaarden brewery to Interbrew he moved to Austin in Texas and developed Celis White.

Hoegaarden Witbier also called Biere Blanche de Hoegaarden.

Vedett Extra White joined the Vedett range in July 2008.

Besides Hommelbier and abbey beers Het Kapittel, Van Eecke brewery is brewing his own white beer since 1998: the Watou Witbier.

In 1998 the Bavik Brewery and VTM, the popular TV channel, rang out with the success of Wittekerke White Beer. Bavik was awarded the title of “Best Belgian white beer”. Hundreds of thousands of Flemish people enjoyed every second of the TV series Wittekerke.
